Highlights
Stewart has been
operating College Prospects of America in Calgary and the Southern
Alberta area since 1998. To date he has signed, and placed over 150
student-athletes in both Canadian and U.S. colleges and universities,
many with significant financial aid and scholarship
packages.
"Over 30% of our clients have received 'full ride' deals
and I think that's absolutely phenomenal," reports Corbett. "For
a family, winning a major scholarship like that is like winning a
lottery."
Stewart's previous experience was in the
professional sports consulting arena and he has worked with such notable
athletes as Jacques Villeneuve and Allen Berg (both F1 drivers), Robert
Guerrero (INDY/CART), as well as a number of CFL football
players.
"I must admit, however,
that I really enjoy working with young, high school student-athletes and
college prospects. It's so great to see them light up and focus when
they find out they might really have a chance to play at the college
level. No one has ever told them that before."
Stewart is a regular guest
on QR77 sports with Mark Stephens and a column contributor to Local
Sports Talk (Calgary Herald) and The Scholarship File, a column found in

Stewart and his group of
family scholarship consultants conduct regular seminars throughout the

There is one main
reason, among many. It Works!!
Corbett explains, "I
take this as a positive statement, but if there is one 'complaint' i
sometimes receive is that the program works too well. Our athletes are
getting so much interest from schools that it can be a bit overwhelming.
So, as part of our counseling service, we try to help families prepare
for this dilemma, as well as working with them on an on-going basis to
develop and manage effective and efficient strategies to deal with the
recruiting process."
